WINTER WEDDING DRESSES DEFINITION

Being a winter bride limits your dress choices to ones with sleeves. This myth is categorically false. It is your day therefore the dress you wear and the style you choose is completely up to you. Many brides wear sleeveless, strapless, cap sleeves, or spaghetti strap dresses on their big day even in the winter. A wedding dress is something that a bride dreams of their whole life and shouldn't be limited due to the weather. Additionally many dresses come with a matching wrap to assist in beating the cold. Larger chain wedding dress shops even give options to attach sleeves or lace sleeves onto the dress if you so desire. The essential truth of wedding dress style is that what you wear is completely up to you and should not be based on the time of year you get married.
Being a winter bride limits your color choices to things seen at Christmas time. This myth is partially true. If selecting live flowers for your event then you are limited in the choices of flowers and flower colors to what is in season that is unless you have a florist and the extra cash to have off season flowers brought in. However artificial flowers have improved greatly over the years. Some of them are now so real that it's hard to tell them apart from real flowers. So if there is enough time to plan and prepare it's possible to select the flowers, colors, and styles that you want and make the arrangements when it's convenient. As a winter bride I selected artificial flowers and made arrangements in colors and types that were pretty to me and was able to cash in on some incredible sales. Using artificial flowers in addition to giving me creative freedom allowed me to save some money as well.
Being a winter bride means that you can't have an outdoor wedding. This is another myth that is partially true. If you have no concerns about how many guests will attend your wedding then an outdoor wedding is a viable option for you. There is also the option for a destination wedding to some place warm but again this likely will restrict the number of guests that will be able to attend. If you are having a wedding in your home town places like well lit barns can be decorated and have heat set up will offer you the ambiance of an outdoor wedding while allowing your guests to be comfortable. Additionally there are some brides who dream of a white wedding, meaning all the scenery is white, and there are destinations that fulfill this dream in locations like Colorado or Utah you can get married on a white covered mountain.
The things to remember as a bride to be is that this is your day. It's the day you've dreamed about all your life and you should have everything you want and can afford. As my pastor told us "the bride gets the wedding and the groom gets the bride" therefore have a blast and make it your dream come true so that you'll have memories that live up to the dreams you had as a little girl.
Winter weddings are some of the most picturesque celebrations…the smell of pine and peppermint and wood burning in a fireplace, the vibrant red or icy blue color schemes, the sounds of smooth jazz music or classical string quartet filling the room, all while a light snowfall creates a soft white blanket on the ground and you can’t help but feel like magic is in the air!
A ballroom wedding during the holidays really requires a  factor dress a ball gown that’s really proportionate to the space and an absolute show stopper!  This Pnina Tornai was actually her finale gown at her recent runway show this bridal fashion week.  The wide skirt with boisterous blossoming roses will keep eyes on you at all times, no matter how grand the ballroom. My favorite part: the ribbon-wrapped corset that starts at the waist and crisscrosses up to the top of the bodice, drapes around in an asymmetric neckline and finishes off with a bow.  The result is a bride that looks like the most magnificent present anyone could ever wish for!
The New Year’s wedding couple definitely likes to have fun and their reception is designed to be the best party you’ll attend all year!  So, this bride is not only looking for a “WOW” wedding dress, but the best party dress she’ll ever own, enter: Ian Stuart.  This cocktail dress by Ian Stuart is the perfect length for all-night-dancing and allows for some killer shoes.  Of course, no New Year’s Eve dress is complete without sequins!  The sequined lace, combined with tulle and floral embellishments, makes this the definition of a New Year’s Eve Wedding Dress.
